2024 - 2025 Recipients are listed below:

Mirielle Hamama

Kanoun

I am Mirielle Hamama, 8 years old, from Bethlehem. I loved Music and had a passion to become a musician and artist in the future. The professors at the Academy supported me a lot to develop my interest. I started learning the Qanun at the Academy of Music. A year after I started, my beloved parents bought me a Qanun. This allowed me to practice my favorite hobby at home. I have performed more than one piece at small concerts held by the Academy with the participation of my family and the families of other students. I hope that you will support me in my artistic career in the coming years until I reach my goal. I thank you for your kind cooperation.

Giries Marwan Al-Koneh

Piano

I am Giries Marwan Al-Koneh, in the seventh grade at Terra Santa School. I am learning to play the piano in addition to choir and theory at Bethlehem Academy of Music. I have been studying at the Academy since I was 8 years old. I extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who stood by me and helped me in my educational journey on the piano. Your Scholarship has encouraged my progress which gave me confidence in myself. Your support was not limited to my musical education, but had a clear impact on developing my confidence. What the Bethlehem Association has granted me made you partners in my success. May God bless you for your charitable work. Music is not just melodies, but a message of beauty and hope. Thank you.

Azzam Ashraf Khalil

Tabla

I am Azzam Ashraf Khalil, I have been studying the Tabla at the Bethlehem Academy of Music for two years with lessons and training. We are three twins studying at the academy: Rita plays the Qanun, Canaan plays the drums, and I play the Tabla. Each of us has found a special space to express ourselves in music. Music has become a part of our daily lives; it makes us happy, gives us hope and positive energy, and makes us hold on to our dreams. I thank the director of the Academy and all the teachers for their hard work and great effort with us. I sincerely hope to continue receiving your grant so that I can continue my journey and achieve my dream.. Due to our difficult economic circumstances this is not possible without your help!  Thank you to the Bethlehem Association for your support this year.

Jad Ahmed Hamed Obaidallah

Oud

My name is Jad Ahmed Hamed Obaidallah, I am 17 years old. I began my musical journey eight years ago, devoting my passion to learning to play the oud. During these years, my skills have developed significantly, and I have participated in numerous musical performances inside and outside my country. I also had the opportunity to travel to Italy to represent the Oud and highlight its artistic and cultural value. Receiving The Bethlehem Association Scholarship will represent a valuable opportunity for me to deepen my musical knowledge and hone my skills professionally, which will enable me to contribute to spreading this authentic art and bringing it to a wider audience. I would be happy to send you some of my work.
I extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to the Bethlehem Academy of Music and the Bethlehem Association for their support.
